RIP Codegeassfan.com :[

The owner sold it! T_T The co-owner is telling the fans not to download from zango, which is I guess who it was sold to. She's going to be various other places so says her last post. You did a great job. I'm sad you're leaving. x.x; -huggles Codegeassfan.com-

I guess I'll have to torrent the episodes from now on. Aah well.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei: Finished

Yes, I have finished watching the second season. I've figured out that Bure-Subs suck compared to a.f.k. for season one. (Not that I could do any better; I'm merely bitter. Great job on translating.) The second season also has two different subbers; a.f.k. is present for about five episodes, and then someone else picks it up. Both pick-up-subbers only translated what was said, and only some of the background stuff.

That's bad, because the background stuff is part of what makes this series so good. (Although I sort of see why they didn't, because there's so damn much.)

Code Geass -- Ep 16 ... Late release. ... Mitsuwa?

anime, rant
Damn it! Eclipse is taking a really long time to sub episode 16 of Code Geass. T_T I wish I knew Japanese for this reason. Then I could just download the raw. :[[

For some reason, no matter how many codecs I download to make H.264 MKV videos play nice, nothing works, so I need AVI files. Eclipse does those! And, the people who released subs already chose this one episode not to do AVI files. T_T Such bad timing. Is something up with this episode or something? It's so anti-AVI...

So, I'm stuck not going on AIM because I know my friends will spoil me (bastards). Ah well.

Anyway. :) I'm using Pimsleur's language thing. It's actually pretty good. ^_^ In about half a year (because I randomly stop -- if I did one lesson every day like you're supposed to, it'd take me a little over three months.), I should complete all 90 lessons. It's just listening and repeating, listening and repeating, and not overdoing it.

Babble babble babble.

Oh. Over the weekend, my friend Christina and I drove up to north Jersey to Mitsuwa. Turns out, we got lucky. There's about six of these Japanese marketplaces in California, one in Jersey, and one in... Ohio? I think. Going in, I felt so weird. Every Japanese restaurant I go to has Koreans or Chinese people there; not Japanese. (Which, as my friend Stephen said, is ironic, seeing as they loathe the Japanese...) I always wanted to hear Japanese people really go back and forth in casual conversation.

And now I wish I hadn't.

I felt so utterly stupid. It was sort of funny though, not understanding. I was in the food court with Christina, and we passed by two women. The one was babbling her head off in Japanese and ended it with, 'ne?' The other older woman simply replied, 'hai...' in a very tired voice. XD

I bought a lot of snacks! Two YanYans (one chocolate, one strawberry; the chocolate is infinity better, I believe), a big pack of pocky for half the price of a much smaller pack at Suncoast in our mall, Ramune (I dunno why I keep buying it, I'm really not that crazy about it), and other things. I almost ate a Salmon onigiri, but Christina's car lacks AC, so, on our long trip home, I'm pretty sure it went kinda bad. it said it should be left out of the heat... so... I just threw it out. :x Ah well.

I'm just happy we have one in Jersey. :D It's amazing. Jersey has virtually nothing. But we have Mitsuwa. Maybe I'll stay here a while longer...

Whaaat? A post with no pictures?!!

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei -- Ep 04

episode review, anime
This post is VERY picture happy. It also features Abiru-san's story. (the girl who's always bandaged up.) Ms. Chie, the school guidance counselor, wonders why she is always injured. She, as expected, sends Itoshiki out to find why talk to her dad.
